    I would say an 8ft longboard would be the best for you. On a longboard you can really plain on the water and surf anything. Even the smallest waves you'll be able to catch with ease. You can get the smallest longboard (about 8 ft) because you are small. I would not get a shortboard. You have to be really good or you'll only be able to actually catch big waves.
